Credit Analyst | Main Office

Monday – Friday

The Credit Analyst will be responsible for providing meaningful analysis of financial statements and of business and economic trends that impact borrowers. The Analyst will learn to evaluate credit risk by spreading and analyzing borrower financial statements. Assists lenders in all aspects of the risk assessment process.  Participates in meetings with customers. No lending authority is expected. Complete detailed written reports that succinctly summarize financial performance; describe collateral quality and coverage; identify, evaluate and mitigate repayment risks; and provide other relevant information for use in the credit decision process. Responsible for understanding commercial credit financial statement spreading software. Responsible for understanding credit policies and appropriate underwriting guidelines and able to apply this knowledge in the review and structuring of credits. Perform research/analysis related to various projects that may arise from time to time such as industry studies and management reports. Assist on corporate documentation and asset quality portfolio reviews. Primarily responsible for preparing Credit Approval Presentations (CAP). Conduct annual reviews of identified credits and those above established thresholds to ensure ongoing credit quality. Recommend loan structure that fits the needs of the credit. Primarily engaged for the detailed analysis on the most complex borrowers. Evaluates risk in assets, confirms risk rating. Perform other duties as assigned by CCO and Senior Credit Administration Officer. Accounting background or education. Strong Excel proficiency. Effective written skills for accurate documentation preparation. Aptitude for figures, high attention to detail. Prior bank experience preferred, knowledge of credit policies. Client Relationship Management Representative | Mountain Plaza Office

Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturday mornings on a rotation basis.

Open and revise checking, savings, time deposits, and safe deposit boxes. Explain and cross sell bank services. Open & maintain IRA accounts. Provide Notary Service. Provide assistance with card service products. Provide assistance with online banking functions. Handle telephone inquiries, prepare letters. Assist other team members. Complete reports as required. Client Services Supervisor | Main Office

Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturday mornings on a rotation basis.

Oversees day-to-day operations of Client Services Dept., ensuring high customer service standards are met. Resolves customer problems as appropriate. Performs variety of operational and supervisory functions. Responsible for compliance issues. Scheduling and staff cross-training. Maintain procedure manuals. Facilitates/communicates with other internal functions and/or Departments, specifically Card Services and E Services managers. Other duties as assigned. Excellent customer service skills. Mortgage Loan Underwriter | Main Office

Responsible for the review, evaluation, and approval/denial of mortgage files and appraisals based on Hilltop Bank’s policies, secondary market requirements and applicable regulations. Review and evaluate information in a mortgage loan application to ensure the loan is in compliance with agency and investor guidelines, regulations and banks policies and procedures. Determine whether credit, income and source of funds are stable and adequate for repayment and meet all applicable guidelines and requirements by reviewing and evaluating supporting documentation. Review and evaluate Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA/RD appraisals to determine adequacy of collateral and adherence to all agency and/or investor requirements and regulations. Assists in development and maintenance of consistent underwriting practices and procedures including the banks Quality Control program. Works closely with the Real Estate Manager to ensure compliance of regulations including HMDA. Documents loan rejections, specifying investor and institution guidelines and basis for declining applications, such as insufficient cash reserves, adverse credit, unacceptable income-debt ratios, and employment stability. Maintains open communication with the loan processor, loan officer and post-closer. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a college or university; five years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work experience should consist of mortgage lending (FHLMC, FHA, VA, FNMA, conventional, etc.) and financial analyzing background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related. FHA-DE and/or VA-LAPP approval and appraisal review designations preferred. Intermediate knowledge of mortgage loan origination, underwriting, documentation and processing as well as relevant regulations. Highly organized and able to prioritize. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Detail oriented with strong data analysis skills. High mathematical aptitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and automated underwriting systems. Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.

Operations Specialist | Main Office

Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Performs a variety of responsibilities related to transactions postings to ensure accuracy of records and reconcilements to support the Operations Department. Administer all garnishments, levies, liens, ensuring that Bank procedures are followed.  Assist with the Bank’s daily EIM processing, including the handling of all non-post, stop pay, credit back and Fed return items, as well as the daily balancing, check returns, and sending out notices to customers. Process NSF charge-offs and recoveries. Perform various operational functions including application balancing, FR 2900 submission, Reg D and mail return notices. Reconcile several general ledger accounts on a daily basis, including the Bank’s Fed account, as well as operational/clearing accounts. Review Positive Pay activity on a daily basis. Assist other Operations personnel in completion of daily and monthly tasks, as needed. Knowledge and/or ability to quickly learn and get familiar with bank operational processes. Knowledge and familiarity with bank core systems (Fiserv Premier preferred). Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Fiserv Premier). Ability to work independently and within a team to effectively manage and complete multiple tasks and responsibilities. Effective communication skills and reliable attendance.

Client Services Representative | Main Office

Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Saturday mornings on a rotation basis.

Support customers with account inquiries and questions via telephone, e-service inquiries, walk-in and mail by performing the following duties: Help customers to obtain information and explain available financial services such as savings and checking accounts, online banking, mobile banking, debit card inquires and maintenance, wire transfers, security code words, stop payments, reconcilements, balance transfers and account closing. Answer customer questions, investigate and correct errors and establish/maintain records. Encourage e-service clients with ACH processing and general online banking inquiries. Assist customers with debit card questions and issue new debit cards. Provide customer service and support to internal and external clients and resolving customer concerns in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. Adequate written/oral communications skills, including telephone skills. Excellent customer service skills, problem solving abilities, & knowledge of bank products & services. Provides personalized banking services to prospective & existing clients.  Identifies needs of customers & recommends appropriate financial products & services. Open and maintain checking, savings, time deposits, Safe Deposit Boxes, HSA’s & IRA’s. Promote and cross-sell other bank products and services as appropriate to client needs, including: loans, cards, online and mobile banking products, trust and payroll services. Welcome clients and escort them to the appropriate person or department for their inquiry. Correspond appropriately and professionally via phone, email or other means. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, bank policies and procedures. Provide Notary Services. Other duties as assigned. Excellent customer service skills.
